Click on the “Next” button at each step, keeping the default settings unchanged, until the JDK installation is complete. Please follow the instructions provided in the pop-up window to install the JDK on your computer. Run the executable file to install the JDK. After downloading, you will find the executable file in your download folder. The download will start as soon as you click on the “.msi” download button. However, versions of the JDK are also available for other platforms, allowing you to download the version that suits your system’s requirements best. As shown in the image below, I’m selecting the Windows(圆4) “.msi” version for download. For this tutorial, we’ll be utilizing version 17.0.2+8 or the most recent release. On the website, you’ll find several versions of JDK 17. The version of JDK you need is JDK 17 to work properly with Minecraft Modding. You can find the download link HERE for JDK 17. We will need to download the Java Developer Kit that will let our Minecraft Modding in Eclipse work correctly.
